About these terms

These terms apply when you install or use HostedEmail.io, the Shopify app provided by Clover Apps Ltd (company number 12509659, registered in England and Wales). "We" and "us" means Clover Apps Ltd. "You" means the store that installs the app and the person installing it on the store's behalf.

By installing HostedEmail.io you agree to these terms. Our privacy notice explains how we handle personal information.

The service

HostedEmail.io lets you create email forwarding addresses and email accounts on domains connected to your Shopify store, and manage them from Shopify admin.

Email accounts run on a hosted email platform that we resell and support. We choose and manage the platform, and we may change it if we need to, without reducing the features you pay for.

Billing

Charges are made through Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice, at the prices shown in the app and on our pricing page. Forwarding addresses are free. Each email account is charged monthly until you delete it.

If a charge goes unpaid, we don't delete your mail straight away. We keep your email accounts for a grace period of a few weeks so you can sort it out. If the charge is still unpaid after that, we may suspend or delete the email accounts.

Acceptable use

You're responsible for the email accounts you create and how they're used. You agree not to use HostedEmail.io to:

  • send spam, bulk unsolicited email or phishing
  • send malware or anything designed to harm other systems
  • send or store unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights
  • try to get around the limits of the service or interfere with other customers

We may suspend an email account that breaks these rules or puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you first.

Your email and backups

Your email belongs to you. We don't read it, sell it or use it for advertising, and our support team only opens an email account when you ask us to.

We look after the service carefully, but we can't promise to recover deleted mail. Keep your own copy of anything important, for example by syncing your email account to an email app on your computer.

Cancelling and uninstalling

You can delete an email account or uninstall the app at any time. There's no contract or notice period, and billing stops through Shopify.

When you uninstall, your email accounts and the mail in them are deleted soon afterwards. The app warns you before this happens. Download anything you want to keep before you uninstall, or contact us and we'll help you move it.

Availability and liability

We work to keep HostedEmail.io running reliably and our support team is on hand if something goes wrong, but we don't guarantee the service will always be available or free of faults.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost business or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for HostedEmail.io in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you before it takes effect. If you keep using HostedEmail.io after that, the new terms apply.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Questions about these terms go to support@cloverapps.io or the contact page.
