Short answer
Email forwarding is free. An Email Account costs $5 per month with 10 GB of storage. Everything is billed on your Shopify invoice and you can cancel from Shopify admin at any time.

Every email account gets the same features.
- Spam and virus filtering. Every incoming message is scanned before it reaches you.
- Webmail. Read and send from any browser at mail.hostedemail.io.
- IMAP and SMTP. Use iPhone Mail, Android, Apple Mail or Thunderbird.
- Staff access controls. Decide who can create and manage email accounts in the app.
- 50 MB attachments. Send and receive large invoices, photos and artwork files.
- Aliases. Extra addresses such as sales@ and help@ that deliver to one email account.
- Out-of-office replies. Set an automatic reply for holidays and busy periods.
- Free migration. We move your existing email from your old provider.
Forwarding or Email Account?
Forwarding is enough if you only receive mail. Choose an Email Account when you need to reply from your store's address.

Billing questions
How am I billed?
Through Shopify. HostedEmail.io charges appear on your normal Shopify invoice, alongside your Shopify plan and other apps. You don't give us a card or open a separate account.
Is the price per email account?
Yes. Each Email Account is $5 a month and includes 10 GB. Forwarding addresses are free. Three staff email accounts cost $15 a month.
Are larger email accounts available?
Yes. You can choose the storage for each email account:
- 10 GB: $5 a month
- 20 GB: $6 a month
- 30 GB: $6.50 a month
- 40 GB: $7 a month
- 50 GB: $7.50 a month
The change shows on your next Shopify invoice.
How do I cancel?
Delete an email account in the app to stop paying for it, or uninstall HostedEmail.io to cancel everything. There's no contract or notice period.
What happens if a payment fails?
We don't delete your mail straight away. If a HostedEmail.io charge on your Shopify invoice goes unpaid, your email accounts are kept for a grace period of a few weeks while you sort it out, and our support team is on hand to help.
What happens to my mail if I uninstall?
Uninstalling stops billing and deletes your email accounts, including the mail in them, soon afterwards. The app warns you clearly before this happens. Download any mail you want to keep first using an email app, or ask us to help move it to your new provider.
