Free email migration to HostedEmail.io
Short answer
We move your existing email accounts, folders and messages to HostedEmail.io for free, from GoDaddy, Microsoft 365, Gmail and Google Workspace, and cPanel hosts. Tell us what to move and we copy it across. Then you switch your DNS, with our help if you need it, and we run a follow-up migration before you close your old accounts. How long it takes depends on how much mail you have.

How migration works
Five simple steps. Your old email keeps working throughout, so customers don't notice the switch.
Tell us what you want to migrate
Let us know your domain, your current provider and which email accounts you want to move. We'll confirm the plan and help you set up your new email accounts.
We migrate it
We copy every folder and message, including sent mail, into your new HostedEmail.io email accounts. Keep using your old email as normal while we work.
Switch your DNS and test
Your DNS records are updated to point to HostedEmail.io. We'll help if you need it, or do it for you as a Shopify collaborator. Then sign in and check everything looks right.
We do a follow-up migration
We copy across anything that arrived at your old provider in the meantime, so nothing gets left behind.
Close your old accounts
We let you know when everything is in place and your old email accounts can be deleted.
What we need from you
Sign-in details or an app password for each old email account. We use them only for the migration, and you can change them as soon as we've finished.

Migration questions
Will I lose any email?
No. We copy your mail, we don't move it, so the original stays with your old provider until you close that account. We run a follow-up migration after the DNS switch to catch anything that arrived in between.
Will my email stop working during the move?
No. Mail keeps arriving at your old provider until your MX record changes, then starts arriving at HostedEmail.io. There's no gap.
Can you move contacts and calendars?
We move email folders and messages. Contacts and calendars can be exported from most providers in a few clicks, and we'll tell you how for yours.
Is migration really free?
Yes. There's no charge for migrating to an Email Account. You pay only the normal monthly price on your Shopify invoice.
